MIS MUN – 2026

19 February, 2026

In today's world, educational initiatives that foster global understanding and critical thinking are increasingly important. MIS MUN is an academic conference based on the Model United Nations format, where students initiate international diplomacy and discuss major global issues in a structured and formal communication.

The topic of the conference is extremely relevant as it reflects real-world challenges facing modern society. The main topic is the discussion and solution of global problems in our world. In an era of globalization, technological advancement, and international interdependence, young people need to understand how global decisions are made and how countries cooperate to solve complex problems. MIS MUN provides a realistic platform for exploring these processes.

The conference addresses a wide range of global issues, including climate change, environmental sustainability, international security, human rights, social inequality, and the impact of modern technology. These topics require thoughtful discussion and collaborative solutions.

MIS MUN offers significant educational value to young people. It develops critical thinking, public speaking, diplomacy, and analytical skills, while encouraging responsibility and active participation in solving global problems. As a result, participants gain a deeper understanding of world affairs and are better prepared to help drive positive change in society in the future.

5 Key Moments from the Opening Ceremony of MIS MUN 2026

By Livinets Georgy 8”b” correspondent

The opening ceremony of MIS MUN 2026 began with energy, inspiration, and a clear purpose. From powerful words to unexpected guests, the event set a strong and emotional tone for the conference.

The central idea of the conference is to develop communication skills among young people. MIS MUN is not just about politics or global issues — it is about teaching students how to speak confidently, listen carefully, negotiate respectfully, and express their ideas clearly. The forum creates a safe space where young participants can grow as communicators and future leaders.Young participants can earn a lot of a life-changing experience, which can help them to build successful and bright future.

One of the most memorable moments of the opening ceremony  was the heartfelt message from the keynote speaker Vlastimil Samek, who is the Representative of the United Nations Department of Global Communications and the Head of the United Nations Information Office in Kazakhstan:

“Thank you for being here. Thank you for caring about your future and trying to make our future better.”

These words deeply resonated with the audience and reminded everyone why they were gathered at this event — not just to debate, but to shape everyone’s future.

A surprising and significant moment was the arrival of Russian consuls to the event. Their presence added importance and formality to the ceremony, showing that the conference is recognized beyond the school environment. They paid respect, they were interested, I might think they liked everything. Me and my team asked them some questions, they said we have a lot of opportunities. Also, they  said we can improve our communication skills by this conference. ‘You are getting a lot of experience at the moment, and you will be successful if you will use it in your future’. We are really grateful for their visit.

The reaction of the audience was immediate and powerful. They welcomed the guests with loud applause. The atmosphere felt respectful, proud, and inspired. It was clear that the participants understood the importance of the moment.

The opening ceremony made it clear that exciting days are ahead. Participants can expect engaging debates, new friendships, valuable experience, and, of course, the awarding of certificates at the end of the conference. However, beyond certificates, they will gain confidence, knowledge, and unforgettable memories.

The opening of MIS MUN 2026 was not just a formal beginning — it was a reminder that the future depends on those who are ready to speak, listen, and take responsible actions today.
